Privacy Policy

TCGthemall (https://tcgthemall.com)

Effective date: July 1, 2026 Last updated: July 1, 2026

Welcome to TCGthemall! We help you find trading cards, board games, collectibles, and events at shops near you. This Privacy Policy explains, in plain language, what information we collect, why we collect it, how we protect it, and the choices and rights you have.

This policy applies to everyone who visits or uses tcgthemall.com, including our Client Portal. We wrote it to comply with Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA and, for Quebec residents, Law 25), and with applicable United States privacy laws, including state laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA).

If you have any questions, you can always reach us at tcgthemall@gmail.com.

1. Who We Are

TCGthemall is operated by TCGTHEMALL INC., based in Tiny, Ontario, Canada. For privacy purposes, we are the "data controller" of your information — that's a legal way of saying we're the ones responsible for how your personal information is handled on this site.

Our Privacy Officer (the person responsible for privacy compliance, as required by Canadian law) can be reached at tcgthemall@gmail.com.

2. Information We Collect

We only collect information we actually need to run the service. Here's what that includes:

Information you give us directly:

  • Account details. When you create an account on the Client Portal, we collect your name and email address. You can sign up with an email and password, or by using a social login such as Google. If you use a social login, that provider shares your name, email address, and profile picture with us — we never see your password for that service.
  • Saved searches, collections, and wishlists. If you save searches or build lists of cards and games you own or want, we store that information so the features work for you.
  • Payment information. If you purchase a paid subscription (when available), your payment details (such as credit card numbers) are collected and processed by a secure third-party payment processor — we never see or store your full card number on our own systems. We keep only basic records like your subscription status and billing history.
  • Messages you send us. If you email us or use a contact form, we keep your message and contact details so we can respond.

Information collected automatically:

  • Approximate location. To show you shops and events near you, we use your approximate location (such as your city or postal code). We do not track your precise GPS location.
  • Usage and device information. Like most websites, we automatically receive some technical information when you visit: your IP address, browser type, device type, the pages you view, and how you interact with the site. We use this to keep the site secure and to understand how people use TCGthemall.
  • Cookies and similar technologies. See Section 5 below for details.

We do not knowingly collect sensitive information such as government ID numbers, health information, or financial account credentials.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Create and manage your account and Client Portal profile
  • Show you shops, products, and events near your location
  • Save and run your saved searches, and alert you when there are matches
  • Store your collections and wishlists
  • Process subscription payments (when paid plans are offered)
  • Send you service emails, such as account notifications and saved-search alerts
  • Send you newsletters and promotional emails — only with your consent, and you can unsubscribe at any time (see Section 7)
  • Understand how the site is used so we can improve it
  • Keep the site secure, prevent fraud and abuse, and comply with legal obligations

A note on advertising: TCGthemall may in the future display advertisements or use affiliate links (links to other shops where we earn a small commission if you make a purchase). If we introduce advertising that involves sharing your information with ad partners, we will update this policy, notify you, and give you the ability to opt out before it happens.

We do not sell your personal information, and we never will without telling you first and giving you a clear choice.

4. Who We Share Your Information With

We never sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that help us run TCGthemall:

  • Base44 — the platform that hosts and powers our website and stores our data.
  • Google Analytics — helps us understand site traffic and usage (see Section 5). Google receives technical data such as your IP address and pages visited.
  • Payment processor — when paid subscriptions are available, a payment processor Stripe handles your payment securely on our behalf.
  • Email delivery services — to send you the account alerts and newsletters described above.

These providers are only allowed to use your information to provide services to us — not for their own purposes, except as described in their own privacy policies (for example, Google's).

We may also disclose information if the law requires it (for example, a court order), to protect the safety of our users, or as part of a business sale or merger — in which case this policy would continue to protect your information.

International transfers: Some of our service providers store data on servers located in the United States or other countries. This means your information may be processed outside of Canada. Wherever your data goes, we require our providers to protect it to a standard consistent with this policy. Government authorities in those countries may have lawful access to data stored there.

5. Cookies and Analytics

Cookies are small text files stored in your browser. We use them for:

  • Essential functions — keeping you logged in and remembering your settings. The site can't work properly without these.
  • Analytics — we use Google Analytics to see, in aggregate, how people use the site (for example, which pages are popular). This helps us improve TCGthemall.

You can control cookies through your browser settings, including blocking or deleting them. Blocking essential cookies may prevent parts of the site (like the Client Portal) from working. You can also opt out of Google Analytics specifically by installing Google's opt-out browser add-on, available at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

We do not currently respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals, but we honour opt-out preference signals such as Global Privacy Control where required by law.

6. Children's Privacy

TCGthemall is a family-friendly site, and we know trading cards and board games are loved by collectors of all ages. However, you must be at least 13 years old to create an account on the Client Portal. Younger card fans are welcome to browse the site with a parent or guardian, and we encourage parents to create and manage accounts on their child's behalf.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account or given us personal information, please contact us at tcgthemall@gmail.com and we will delete it promptly.

7. Marketing Emails and Your Choices

If you consent to receive our newsletter or promotional emails, you can withdraw that consent at any time by:

  • Clicking the "unsubscribe" link at the bottom of any marketing email, or
  • Emailing us at tcgthemall@gmail.com

We will process unsubscribe requests promptly (and always within 10 business days, as required by Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation). Even if you unsubscribe from marketing, we may still send you essential service emails, such as password resets or important account notices.

8. How Long We Keep Your Information

We keep your personal information only as long as we need it:

  • Account information — for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days, except where we must keep records for legal reasons (such as tax or billing records).
  • Analytics data — retained in aggregate/anonymized form according to Google Analytics settings.
  • Support messages — kept for up to 2 years so we can reference past conversations.

9. How We Protect Your Information

We take reasonable steps to protect your information, including encryption of data in transit (HTTPS), secure hosting through our platform provider, and limiting access to personal information to people who need it. No website can guarantee perfect security, but if a data breach ever creates a real risk of significant harm to you, we will notify you and the appropriate privacy regulators as required by law.

10. Your Privacy Rights

You have rights over your personal information. Depending on where you live, these include:

  • Access — ask us what personal information we hold about you and receive a copy.
  • Correction — ask us to fix inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Deletion — ask us to delete your personal information (you can also delete your account directly in the Client Portal).
  • Withdrawal of consent — withdraw your consent to our use of your information at any time (this may mean some features stop working for you).
  • Data portability — receive your information in a portable, machine-readable format.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at tcgthemall@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity first — this is to protect you, so no one else can access your information. We will never discriminate against you (for example, by denying you service) for exercising your privacy rights.

For Canadian residents: Your rights are protected under the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). If you are unsatisfied with how we handle a privacy concern, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (www.priv.gc.ca).

For Quebec residents: Under Quebec's privacy law (Law 25), you have additional rights, including the right to request that your information stop being shared and the right to complain to the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec (www.cai.gouv.qc.ca).

For California residents: Under the CCPA/CPRA, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to delete it, to correct it, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell your personal information. You also have the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. You may make requests through an authorized agent.

For residents of other US states with privacy laws (such as Colorado, Virginia, Connecticut, and Texas): you have similar rights of access, correction, deletion, and opt-out, and may exercise them using the contact details above. If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision, and we will review the appeal.

11. Links to Other Websites

TCGthemall links to third-party shops and event pages. Once you leave our site, this Privacy Policy no longer applies — each shop has its own privacy practices, so we encourage you to review their policies.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time — for example, when we launch subscriptions or advertising. When we make significant changes, we will post a notice on the site and update the "Last updated" date above. For major changes affecting how we use your personal information, we will notify account holders by email and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent.
